"There are people that have money and then there are people that are rich." Coco Chanel

Taking care of your health is one of the best gifts you can give yourself. What good is money if you are in bad health? With more and more awareness of the side effects of chemicals and pesticides, the consumer is becoming increasingly more willing to spend the extra on organic food.

Organics is the fastest growing sector in the Canadian food industry. To qualify as certified organic, a field would have to:

  • be free of commercial fertilizers for three years
  • be free of herbicides for three years
  • seed would not be from genetically modified seed
  • include a buffer zone between organic plants and non-organic plants
